Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone is reviewing 20 global port assets, concentrating on container facilities and liquid terminals. Chief executive Ashwani Gupta stated during an earnings call that the company will not pursue UK operator Associated British Ports because the asset did not align with its return on capital requirements.
While evaluating foreign deals, the company raised its FY27 capital expenditure guidance for India to between 15,000 and 17,000 crore rupees, up from an earlier target of 12,000 to 14,000 crore rupees. The increased spending will accelerate expansion at major domestic facilities, including Mundra, Dhamra, Hazira, and Vizhinjam, driven by high capacity utilisation.
